Regulation (UE) 2019/515 on the mutual recognition of goods lawfully marketed in another Member State and repealing Regulation (EC) No 764/2008 states that Member States shall designate product contact points, and facilitate cooperation and exchange of information in the context of the principle of mutual recognition.

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/1020, Member States shall establish procedures to provide economic operators, upon request and free of charge, with information regarding national transposition and application of Union harmonization legislation applicable to products.
