In view of the upcoming 2026 call for applications for training grants for testing products subject to foreign trade, the Draft Order establishing new regulatory bases to improve the procedure for awarding these grants is being submitted for public consultation and information. These new bases seek to correct the downward trend in the number of applications received between 2018 and 2024 by adopting measures to increase the attractiveness of the program.

The purpose of the scholarships is to promote training and technical improvement in the field of control testing on products subject to foreign trade. To train young graduates in analytical techniques and procedures applicable to the quality control and safety of products subject to foreign trade, to promote the professional integration of qualified young people in the analytical field, to support the control and surveillance functions carried out by the Official Service for Inspection, Surveillance, and Regulation of Exports in Spain, SOIVRE, in official laboratories, and to promote technical specialization in national and European regulations related to international trade in goods.
